  • College fraternity offers Pet-A-Pup on campus to help students de-stress and raise money.

    • University of Southern Indiana fraternity offers Pet-A-Pup on campus to help students de-stress and raise money for the local Humane Society. Not only can students pet a puppy in between classes to relieve stress, but students can adopt the puppies they meet at the event. “Not only does it bring us closer together, but as far as citizenship goes, it helps us be better and be better people in the community as well.”  It will be an annual event.   • For Dog Lovers, October 20 Is Biggest Television Night of the Year

    • On October 20, the 11th annual American Humane Hero Dog Awards will air in a special, two-hour broadcast on Hallmark Drama at 9 pm ET/PT, 8 Central. This star-studded annual celebration of heroic hounds, sponsored by the Lois Pope LIFE Foundation, honors outstanding working dogs from around the country and will boast celebrity hosts. [Link]

  • MetLife Teams Up with the New York Giants and New York Jets to Create the MetLife All-Pet Team.

    • Tri-State area football fans can go to nyjets.com/metlifepet or giants.com/metlifepet to submit a photo and 100-word description indicating which position their pet should play and why for a chance to join the MetLife All-Pet Team. Six grand prize winners will receive two tickets to a Jets or Giants home game, a $100 gift card to the Stadium Merch Store, a swag bag, as well as have their pet featured on the video boards during the game.
