The AKC National Championship is coming on December 29th, 2024, at 2 p.m. ET. The show features thousands of dogs from around the country and the world competing for the coveted title of America’s National Champion.
It is end of year holiday time and must-see TV includes the AKC National Championship Presented by Royal Canin®. It will air as a three-hour special on the ABC television network on December 29th. Hosting the broadcast are AKC Executive Secretary and spokesperson Gina DiNardo and noted sportscaster Carolyn Manno. This year’s AKC National Championship is the largest dog show in North America, with 5,637 dogs entered in Conformation from 50 states and Washington, DC, and all around the world.
In addition, competitions in Agility, Obedience, the National Owner-Handled Series Finals, junior competitions, and the inaugural AKC RACH (Rally Champion) Invitational, brings the total entries to a staggering 9,441. Dogs will compete for multiple titles across various events, with the owner of the Best in Show winner receiving $50,000.
