Canine Companions Dog Cruise
From the Creators of the World’s Only Dog Cruise by Tall Ship Adventures, a Dog Cruise Extraordinaire.
Dogs are known as man’s best friend, but many dog lovers are unable to own one or cannot travel overseas with their beloved pooch, so the Dog Cruise team at the Royal Albatross, an attraction by Tall Ship Adventures, has come to the rescue with an innovative dining concept with a personal doggie escort.
Dog lovers may now select a model dog to accompany them for an evening sunset dinner cruise onboard the award-winning Royal Albatross. The fur kids will come dressed up for the occasion and sit at the guest’s table. The dogs will be served a curated 3-course fine dining meal, while the human guests enjoy their choice of a 4 or 7-course dinner out at sea.

- The owner of the Royal Albatross said: “We have found 6 charming doggies that are begging to be taken out for dinner on (another) Dog Cruise evening onboard the Royal Albatross. The doggies have been hand-selected by us based on their temperament and obedience level. They are also familiar with dining onboard the ship as they have been sailing with us previously with their owners. Guests can select their fur-date based on their biographies much like a real dating website.”
- The last 12 months, since we launched Dog Cruise, has been a huge success with over 900 fur kids sailing onboard with us. It’s taken social media by storm as its truly unique, memorable, and adorable content!” To assist in handling the dogs and to ensure the dogs go straight home afterwards, the owners will also be onboard; at a different table, to ensure their fur kids are well taken care of, before, during and after the cruise.
- The Royal Albatross is a multi-award-winning attraction that has recently won the prestigious Singapore Tourism Awards for most Outstanding Attraction in 2022 and the Best of the Best award for 2022 by TripAdvisor. The Royal Albatross continues to challenge the boundaries of the attractions scene in Singapore with their unique offerings.
Maybe they should try offering Doggie Cruises in the U.S. Imaging sailing around New York City on a beautiful yacht with a canine companion as a dinner guest!
Eleven therapy dogs — and a pig, cat and rabbit — are calming pre-flight stress
San Francisco Airport 2022
Air travel this year has been filled with delayed or canceled flights, lost luggage and continuing pandemic concerns. To the rescue, therapy dogs at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) are taking an active role in reducing travel stress, one belly rub at a time.

Wearing SPCA-branded vests that read “Pet me,” the 14 members of SFO’s “Wag Brigade” patrol the terminals with tails wagging, offering a calming and comforting influence to passengers, airline crew and airport employees alike.
SFO created the Wag Brigade in 2013, according to Jennifer Kazarian, founder and manager of the popular program. The dogs are calm, well-behaved and obedient to commands. Handlers must pass an extended background and security check by the airport, as they tour with the dogs past the TSA security entrances.
Young kids cautiously approached, first offering a tentative pet, then going into full snuggle mode while the dogs reveled in the attention. Some passengers who appeared to be having a rough day dropped their bags, sat down cross-legged and just hugged the dogs.
“Are you having a better day now?” the dog handler/owner asked one teen boy. He shyly smiled and nodded.
